Literature Text
Run, my shining light.
Until sunrise, we shall not stop.
Dance across the clouds as they cry tears of snow.
Our journey begins at midnight.
Lead me through the darkness.
Forever shall we spread peace, love, and joy.

Glenmorangie
Her suitcase thumped to the floor before the door even closed all the way. Her blouse drifted down almost simultaneously. Then her bra. Realizing the drab old curtains were open, she walked over to close them. With an arm crossed over her bare chest it was an awkward one handed job.
“A shower,” she assured herself, seeing now to the deadbolt on the door. “That’ll be nice.”
Halfway across the room she flipped on the television without even looking at what was playing and wiggled each foot out of a shoe. Jeans tumbled onto the linoleum of the lavatory, tiptoed out of like a ballet dancer. In a haze of steam, lace

I. The Empress of Moths and Secrets
The wind ripped across the city, dragging in a storm. Litter tumbled down the street as the wind howled, forcing itself through alleyways it shouldn’t have been able to reach. The wind chimes of broken wine bottles clanked together sounding more like a warning than harmonic.
From her spot on the rusted fire escape, Lani listened to her friend sing. She leaned against the dirty brick and took a long drag from her cigarette.
Mina’s voice curled the air, slipping through the harsh wind. In the bathtub under the open window, Mina sang a song, old and brittle in lyrics, in a language unfamiliar to air, but with a melody like the last

The Forests Light
forest of bloom,
the shades of you,
open thine leaves,
to spread the sheen.
the shining of light,
will not be our fright,

Merry Christmas! I know I'm WAY late. I was actually working on a short story for Christmas, but I didn't finish it . Still, I wanted to put SOMETHING up for the holiday (besides, It's been perhaps a month since I submitted something, and I don't like being away for so long), so here is this acrostic poem I had written in high school and shared w/ my creative writing club. I remember someone telling me that they liked how I made Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer more "serious" since it was more of a kid's story. I had to change it, b/c I had spelled the name wrong. Anyway, I'll probably save what I was going to write for next Christmas.
Anyway, I hope your 2014 has been going well so far!
